Description

IC 340, NGC 6992 and NGC 6995 are part of the emission nebula complex called the Veil Nebula in the constellation Cygnus. They extend for about 50 light years and are 1500 light years away from us. This magnificent complex is the result of a Supernova that exploded thousands of years ago. It is constantly expanding and its filaments will be destined to disappear, becoming increasingly rarefied.
